Since Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced in November 2022 he would be running for reelection, he has made many claims while seeking the nation's highest office again. We've looked into many of them, like whether Trump took credit for overturning Roe v. Wade (true) or if whether said he plans to cut Medicare and Social Security if reelected (mixture).
Some of the claims Trump made that we've fact-checked involved his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris. One such claim was that Harris had backed out of a Sept. 4 Fox News debate with Trump (false), while another was that Harris "doesn't want anybody saying Merry Christmas" (false).
In the run-up to the 2024 election, we've fact-checked other claims surrounding Trump and Harris, as well as claims about their running mates, Ohio Sen. JD Vance and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
