Claim:
A YouTube video published in early October 2024 accurately reported that Justin Bieber had "finally admitted" what Sean "Diddy" Combs did to him.

In October 2024, a video was published on YouTube claiming Justin Bieber had "finally admitted" what Sean "Diddy" Combs did to him.

The footage, which had amassed more than 356,000 views as of this writing, documented the Canadian pop star's relationship with the rapper and music mogul over the years and heavily suggested Combs had done something to Bieber, without making any specific allegations.

The video, titled: "Justin Bieber Finally ADMITS & Shows Proof What Diddy Did To Him | Parties Were INSANE", was posted weeks after Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested in September 2024 on sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution charges.

Similar posts appeared elsewhere on social media, such as on X, Threads, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and Reddit.

However, the footage contained no details of what Combs had allegedly done to Bieber, and no such revelation from the "Yummy" singer. Therefore, we have rated the claim that the clip accurately reported that Bieber had "finally admitted" what Combs did to him as false.

The video (archived) was posted by a celebrity gossip YouTube channel, which claimed — without naming a source — during the narration:

So Justin Bieber is taking the mic and this time he's telling the world everything. From the horrid reality he had to put up with under Diddy's care to learning that his freak off tapes were sold to the highest bid. For years, there have been speculations about the young singer suffering at Diddy's hands. And though it didn't seem like Justin would ever talk about his experiences, he has finally gathered the courage now.

However with Diddy's recent arrest, it didn't seem like the singer had much of a choice since the truth was expected to come out during the trial. Still he's simply trying to take control of the narrative. Just what truth did Justin reveal? And does he have proof of what Diddy did to him? Here's everything we know.

The video concluded: "What do you think of the situation? Do you believe Justin will eventually come forward with his story, or will he choose to remain silent? Let us know in the comments below."

However, it included no evidence to support the assertion Bieber "finally admitted" what Combs did to him. If there were any truth to the claim — for instance, if the Canadian singer released any kind of statement after the rapper's arrest — reputable entertainment media outlets would have covered the story. As of this writing, no such articles had been written.

At the 12:42 mark, the narrator even stated Bieber had made no such revelation, by saying: "The pop singer won't be speaking up."

A disclaimer beneath the YouTube video also read: "The content on this channel may contain gossip-based information, rumors, or exaggerated portrayals of reality. Please exercise your own discretion while watching and remember that not all information presented may be factual or verified."

Despite the fact the video's underlying claim was false, the footage could seem believable to some because it referenced Bieber speaking up on drug abuse, and it featured an authentic 2009 video titled "JUSTIN BIEBER's 48 HRS with DIDDY!!" uploaded on Bieber's YouTube channel. With the inclusion of true and misleading information, as well as emotionally charged language, such videos focused on baseless celebrity rumors often generate hundreds, or thousands, of comments and views from social media users, which is often the prime aim of such content.

This was not the first misleading rumor related to Bieber that captured social media users' attention. For example, we previously debunked the false claim that Bieber sued Ellen DeGeneres "for misusing him when he was a minor," an assertion that originated with a similar YouTube celebrity gossip channel.
