In mid-September 2024, a photo allegedly showing actor Keanu Reeves holding a pro-Trump T-shirt spread on social media.
The item of clothing displayed variations of the slogan "NEVER STOP FIGHTING TO SAVE AMERICA," and included an image from the attempted assassination of former U.S. President Donald Trump in July 2024.
"Keenu Reeves joined the Trump train," one X user captioned the picture (archived).
The photo of Reeves also appeared on Facebook in July 2024, with the latter post amassing more than 39,000 reactions as of this writing.
One Facebook user who appeared to believe the image was authentic commented: "Like the majority of sane Americans, Keanu despises trump."
However, the picture of the actor was digitally altered to include a pro-Trump T-shirt, therefore we have rated it as fake.
