On July 22, 2024, the Facebook page America's Last Line of Defense (ALLOD) posted a meme featuring Kid Rock, in which it claimed the musician donated all proceeds from his new single to the family of "hero firefighter" Corey Comperatore, who was shot and killed during an assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump at a political rally in Butler County, Pa., on July 13, 2024.
The meme included an inset photo of Trump with his hand on Comperatore's firefighter uniform at the Republican National Convention (RNC) on July 18, 2024.
It was captioned: "Kid Rock is a true American patriot."

Some Facebook users appeared to believe the claim, with one writing: "Kid Rock is such a wonderful guy. His heart is as big as his talent!!"
Another added: "Amen. Way to go Robert," referencing Kid Rock by his real name, Robert James Ritchie.
However, the Facebook post did not accurately recount real-life events. ALLOD describes itself as a "satire" and "parody" account, and its bio explicitly stated its purpose was to troll users with inauthentic content. The description read: "The flagship of the ALLOD network of trollery. Nothing on this page is real."
Kid Rock had not released a new single in 2024 at the time of this writing. His most recent single, "No Limits," a collaboration with country singers Jimmie Allen and Austin Mahone, came out in February 2023.
Though Kid Rock had made no official announcement about donating proceeds from his music sales to Comperatore's family, several reports indicated he donated $50,000 to a GoFundMe page set up to assist the families of the victims of the Trump rally shooting.
Snopes found a $50,000 donation under the name Kid Rock on the GoFundMe page, however we could not confirm whether this was made by the musician.

Comperatore was fatally shot when a gunman attempted to assassinate Trump at a campaign rally shortly before the RNC. A bullet grazed Trump's ear, and two other men were wounded in the shooting.
An avid supporter of the former president, Kid Rock performed at the RNC in Milwaukee, Wis., on July 18. On the day of the assassination attempt, he used Instagram to show his full support for the former president:
